The yogic tradition refers to the ancient spiritual, philosophical, and practical system of yoga that originated in India thousands of years ago. It's much more than just physical postures ; it’s a comprehensive path to self-realisation, inner peace, and union with the divine

In the yogic tradition, gurus play a key role in guiding students. Many systems are passed down in lineages where knowledge is transmitted directly from teacher to student over generations. Séb teaching is totally derived from Paramhamsa Swami Yogeshwaranand Saraswati one of the greatest yogi of the 20th centuary.
Swami Yogeshwaranand Saraswati, known as Vyas Dev ji in his childhood, From a tender age of fourteen, he embarked on a remarkable journey, relinquishing the comforts of a secure home to embrace a life of profound austerity. His unwavering dedication led him to the majestic Himalayas and Tibet, where he immersed himself in the sacred teachings of the Hindu Scriptures, diligently practicing the ancient wisdom for the singular purpose of attaining self-realization.
Throughout his illustrious life, Swami Yogeshwaranand Saraswati devoted himself entirely to the profound science of Yoga and shared the invaluable knowledge he acquired from esteemed ascetics and his own spiritual experiences. His profound insights and experiences have been meticulously captured in a vast collection of well-documented books, preserved within the sacred library of the ashram.
Swamiji's transcendence beyond the physical realm occurred on 23rd April 1985, leaving an indelible legacy that continues to inspire countless seekers on their spiritual paths. His departure from the mortal plane signifies the completion of a remarkable life, dedicated to the pursuit of truth, self-realization, and the dissemination of profound yogic wisdom.

A significant part of my own teaching has been shaped by my years of learning from Steve Harrison, founder and teacher of Yoga Sanctuary.
Steve carried the teachings of Yogeshwarananda with great depth, integrity and devotion, and taught them not simply as a philosophy, but as something to be experienced and lived. Over many years, he developed a unique ability to translate these traditional teachings into a practical and accessible approach for modern life — the Living Yoga Method.
The Living Yoga Method brings together breath, movement and mind, rooted in the deeper principles of Hatha Yoga. It is an approach that encourages us to move beyond yoga as simply a physical practice, towards a deeper understanding of ourselves and our relationship with life.
Steve continued to teach and transmit these teachings until the closing of Yoga Sanctuary in July 2026. His influence on me has been profound. What I teach today is deeply infused with the wisdom, practice and understanding that I received through him.
I therefore see my own teaching not as something separate from this tradition, but as part of an ongoing transmission — received, lived and then shared in my own way.
The lineage continues through practice, experience and service.
